SAN FRANCISCO-Cassidy Turley has been selected to provide property management services for TIAA-CREF’s Northern California industrial portfolio. The 657,602-square foot portfolio is comprised of three modern, high-image industrial parks as well as a single building, all situated in the East Bay.

“The strength of Cassidy Turley’s property management is long-established and is one of the key reasons why we are part of the Cassidy Turley organization,” explains Mike Kamm, CEO Cassidy Turley BT Commercial. “We are actively seeking to expand our property management business and have more than doubled our portfolio in the last two months.”

Buildings included in the portfolio are: the Peppertree Business Center and Corsair Boulevard, both in Hayward, CA, and the Whipple Business Center and adjacent Whipple Commerce Center in Union City, CA.

The Peppertree Business Center is a four-building 176,750-square-foot multi-tenant project located at 30952-30965 San Clemente St. and 30963 San Benito St. Located at 2809-2829 Whipple Rd., the Whipple Business Center is a three-building 76,782-square-foot multi-tenant project. The Whipple Commerce Center is a six-building 371,910-square-foot multi-tenant project with retail exposure located at 2919-2955 Whipple Rd. and 30130 Ahern St. All three projects provide quick access to Interstate 880, the San Mateo Bridge (Highway 92) and the Dumbarton Bridge (Highway 84) via the Whipple Road interchange. Corsair Boulevard is a 32,160 square foot multi-tenant building in North Hayward.

“We are delighted that TIAA-CREF has chosen Cassidy Turley to manage its Northern California industrial portfolio, which is now our largest assignment in the region,” says Marla Maloney, Cassidy Turley senior managing director. “Our success in winning this portfolio is a testimonial to our commitment to providing best-in-class services to our investor clients and their tenants. We look forward to collaborating with TIAA-CREF to maximize the value of its Northern California industrial assets.”

Susan Causey, vice president of Cassidy Turley, along with Maloney, will lead the Cassidy Turley property management team for the portfolio. Since the start of the year, Cassidy Turley has added more than 27 million square feet of managed property to its portfolio nationwide. Recent wins include a 1.2-million-square-foot office portfolio from TA Realty, comprised of seven properties in Northern Virginia, which, as GlobeSt.com previously reported, took over the assignment from Cushman & Wakefield, which managed it for roughly seven years.
