CORAL SPRINGS, FL-Design Row Shopping Center has sold for $7.25 million. The 90,476-square foot specialty retail center in the Northwest Broward submarket sits 69% vacant in a bedroom community hard-hit by the recession.

Dave Donnellan, Bill Strauss, and Todd Weintraub of CB Richard Ellis' Private Client Group represented the seller, Lara Design Row. The buyer was Design Row LLC, a group that includes Miami Beach-based Maverick Investments and a real estate investment firm in New York.

"The concept of Design Row was to congregate home furnishing and furniture-related tenants together into one project to create synergy," Donnellan, first vice president at CB Richard Ellis, tells GlobeSt.com. "For a number of years, the developer had quality tenants in there, but a good chunk of the space was delivered at the peak of the residential market implosion."
