JERSEY CITY-The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, has signed a nine-year, 24,607-square-foot expansion lease at Mack-Cali’s Realty Corp.’s Harborside Financial Center here. The tenant was represented in the transaction by Cushman & Wakefield New Jersey’s Fred Smith and Curtis Foster.

The new lease is coterminous with the firm’s existing 137,076-square-foot lease at Harborside Plaza 3. It brings the total space leased by the bank in the complex to 161,683 square feet.

According to Mitchell E. Hersh, president and CEO of the Edison, based REIT, the 3.1-million-square-foot Harborside Financial Center is currently 98.8% leased. In August, insurance firm Frenkel & Co. Inc. signed an 11-year lease for 23,516 square feet at Harborside Financial Center Plaza 3
