HOUSTON-Former PM Realty executive Doug Little has joined Transwestern as a managing director and executive vice president. In his new role, Little will focus on strategic national initiatives and business development both locally and nationally.
“I am looking at the final chapter in my career, and I wanted a new challenge,” Little tells GlobeSt. “This new position allows me a little more freedom because of the size of the company and the depth and breadth of the resources.”
Prior to joining Transwestern, Little served as PM Realty’s executive vice president and managing director - Central Division. He spent 16 years with the Houston-based firm, and during his 25-year career, he has negotiated more than 8 million square feet of transactions exceeding $600 million in value. He is a native Houstonian and a graduate of Texas Tech University.
Little will report to Chip Clarke, president – Gulf Coast and Mountain Regions, and will have no supervisory responsibilities. “I’ll be able to do what I feel I do best, which is going after new business,” he notes. “I enjoyed managing people previously, but this new position will allow me to be more entrepreneurial, and that was an alluring factor.”
Specifically, Little will help build Transwestern’s local presence, as well as assist Clarke with the development of the Denver office. Beyond that, he plans to work with the firm’s national groups.
Little has known key members of Transwestern’s executive leadership team for years, both socially and professionally. “I know these guys – I am not going into this blindfolded,” he says. “I have a great feel for their culture and entrepreneurial spirit.”
