Retro on the Recovery - 09.21.2010 Yesterday it was announced by the National Bureau of Economic Research's Business Cycle Dating Committee (a group of academic economists that determines the widely accepted benchmarks for US recessions) that the end of the recession occurred in June 2009. By my calculation, that means that we are well into the recovery, and we should all be feeling real good about now. Not! Stay tuned for the next installment in Washington as the bureaucrats flog each other on who has the better answer for moving the stalled economy. We really do deserve better than what is being served up on either side of the aisle.
