I received the above words from a reader in response to my blog post entitled: "Passive Brokers...Striving for Mediocrity".  It made me smile.

I truly enjoy receiving replies to my blogs...Yes! Even from those who disagree with me.  In fact, those are sometimes the most fun of all!  To the landlord broker in Tampa who responded to yesterday's blog post, saying he's also encountered tenant representation brokers who fit my description of mediocre landlord brokers, I stand corrected.  Of course, mediocre brokers, the minority of the commercial real estate industry, exist in all areas, including landlord representation, tenant representation, investments, and elsewhere. 

In my most recent post, I attempted to draw attention to my experiences, where on more than a few occasions my tenants and I received a noticeable lack of customer service and responsiveness from certain landlord brokers.  One blog reader, after viewing my post, emailed me because he actually assumed I was writing about all landlord brokers. He wasn't happy.  But, was he kidding?  How could anyone damn an entire industry segment?  Didn't he see the word "some" repeated in my post?

I write Corporate Advisor based on what I see in our industry, including both positive and negative interactions with brokers, landlords, tenants, and others.  Mine are not everyone's experiences, and neither do I expect all readers to agree with me.

In a recent industry meeting, one property owner accused me of landlord bashing.  His competitor stood up and said "Zezas doesn't bash landlords, he bashes knuckleheads, both landlords and brokers!"  And, that, my friends, is correct.Am I right all the time?  I doubt it...I'm not trying to be right.  Am I calling them as I see them? Absolutely.  Must you agree?  Hell, no!  So, please keep your ideas coming in my direction, whether you agree, disagree, or otherwise.  I welcome your thoughts and your challenges.  Let's have some fun!  Thanks for reading!
