BALTIMORE-St. John Properties has inked a lease with Royal Farms to build a 5,86-square-foot convenience store within the Retail Village component of Baltimore Crossroads@95, a mixed-use business community close to the White Marsh submarket. Construction of the Royal Farms retail building is expected to begin spring 2011, with a targeted opening in fall 2011.

The Retail Village has been targeting retail that would support the employees working within Baltimore Crossroads@95. These include restaurants, soft good retailers, business services and general-interest merchants.

All together, more than five million square feet of commercial office space is planned for the 1,100-acre, mixed-use business community, including several full-service hotels and offices for more than 10,000 employees. Royal Farm’s store will be located on a highly visible location along MD Route 43, according to Jerry Wit, SVP for St. John Properties.
