DETROIT-The Economic Development Corp. of Detroit has granted preliminary approval for the construction of a healthcare facility worth $23 million, which would come up near the Outer Drive Southfield Freeway. The developer is Oakwood Healthcare, one of the largest hospital companies in the city.

The 70,000 square-foot medical facility would feature doctors' offices and would include services such as radiology and surgery. The proposal still requires an approval from the City Council. For the full story, go to The Detroit Free Press.
