Also recently joining the firm was veteran geologist and environmental engineer Andrew Brack was added to head the firm’s Phase II Subsurface Testing and Remediation Practice. His title is principal and director of site mitigation and he will be based out of the company’s newly opened Irvine, CA office. Previously, Brack was a vice president with Tetra Tech, an international engineering and technical services firm, where he headed the commercial operations in California.

Joining one of the firm’s other Southern California offices, veteran environmental consultant Eric Correia recently joined Partner Engineering and Science as a project manager in the San Diego office. With a decade of experience in commercial due diligence consulting, Correia has performed Property Condition Assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and construction Progress Monitoring on a wide variety of projects throughout the US. Correia came to Partner from San Diego-based BC Group LLC, a privately held environmental consulting firm. Previously, he was quality control manager for Project Resources Inc., a national engineering and environmental consulting firm headquartered in San Diego.

Another recent addition to the San Diego office is environmental due diligence veteran Mark Lambson, who joined as a principal. Lambson, formerly vice president of sales and marketing at Green Concepts International, will be responsible for firm wide business development and management of the firm’s national client base, which includes regulators, lenders and creditors and prospective real estate investors. Previously he was national sales manager for LandAmerica Assessment Corp.

The women owned business, which has a total of 16 offices nationwide, has also acquired three of its competitors, since it opened its doors less than three years ago. In March of 2009, the firm acquired the assets of LandAmerica Assessment Corp. a LandAmerica Financial Group Inc. subsidiary which had filed for bankruptcy. Under the terms of the transaction, Partner received all of LAC’s accounts receivables, digital assets, existing environmental reports and LAC’s “best-in-industry” software systems. A month prior to that, Partner In February, the firm acquired the environmental site assessment practice of Loveland, CO-based US-Reports, a provider of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments to SBA Lenders across the US.

In July of this year, the company was hired to provide the Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for CB Richard Ellis Strategic Partners US Value 5, a fund managed by CBRE Investors LLC, in its recent $360-million acquisition of a 1.6-million-square-foot office portfolio in downtown Oakland. The portfolio of buildings, which comprises the Oakland City Center, includes 1300 Clay St., 499 14^th St., 501 14^th St., 505 14th St., 500 12th St., and a parking garage. The acquisition also included the LEED Gold Certified buildings 1111 Broadway and 555 12th St., which represent more than one million square feet in the portfolio. The buildings are located above the 12^th Street Bay Area Rapid Transit System which serves as the hub for the entire104-mile BART system which serves San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
