ALLEN, TX-Construction is underway on TopGolf’s newest facility at The Village at Allen, regional, mixed-use lifestyle development. Earlier today, the company broke ground on its fourth all-weather sports and entertainment destination and its second location in Texas.
TopGolf specifically targeted Allen for the company’s latest prototype, according to Randy Starr, TopGolf’s chief development officer. The new 65,000-square-foot TopGolf Allen facility will include: a triple-decker tee line featuring 94 hitting bays; 5,000 square feet of private event space; a rooftop lounge terrace; and a full-service bar and restaurant. TopGolf Allen also will feature next generation touch screen game monitors and LCD TV’s in each hitting bay.
Norine Bowen, general manager of The Village at Allen and The Village at Fairview, tells GlobeSt.com that TopGolf is a natural fit for the project. "The addition of TopGolf will further expand the sports and entertainment offerings at The Village at Allen," she says.
Scheduled to open spring 2011, the new TopGolf facility is projected to attract more than 250,000 visitors annually. TopGolf Allen was designed by Chicago-based Aria Group Architects.
In addition to its Allen project, TopGolf also has a facility in the heart of Dallas near Park Lane. It also has locations in Chicago and Washington D.C. and three in London.
Located at the southeast corner of U.S. 75 and Stacy Road, The Village at Allen was developed by Dallas-based MGHerring Group. It is one component of a 3-million-square-foot project situated in both Allen and Fairview.
The development is anchored by Super Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Best Buy, PetSmart, Ross Dress for Less, Hemispheres and Anderson’s Furniture. Other components of The Village at Allen include the 6,225-seat Allen Event Center, the Allen Community Ice Rink and the Courtyard by Marriott Dallas-Allen at the John Q. Hammons Center.
