HIALEAH, FL-Indianapolis-based home appliances and consumer electronics retailer hhgreg has signed a deal for 23,423 square feet of retail space at the Westland Promenade Shopping Center. Financial terms of the 10-year deal were not disclosed.

Sterling Organization, a retail real estate investment, services and development company headquartered in Palm Beach, owns Westland Promenade. Jeff McElhinny, managing partner in the Charlotte, N.C. office of Atlantic Retail Properties, represented hhgregg. McElhinny declined to comment on the deal.

“This marks hhgreg’s entrance into the South Florida market,” Greg Moross, COO of Sterling, tells GlobeSt.com. “Hhgreg is inking deals in multiple locations in the South Florida, which signals the strength of the region’s retail market as a whole from a demographic standpoint.”

Westland Promenade is a 325,854-square-foot power shopping center at the interchange of the Palmetto Expressway and Okeechobee Road. Current national anchor tenants include Sports Authority, Big Lots, Chuck E. Cheese’s, and Floor & D
