NEWPORT BEACH, CA-Turner Development Corp. has hired Bill Banks as vice president of acquisitions as the Newport Beach-based company plans its expansion into Las Vegas and Phoenix. Rusty Turner, president of Turner Development, says that the company plans to begin identifying potential acquisition and development projects in the new markets. “Bill’s expertise in Arizona, Nevada and California will provide Turner with the market knowledge and insight to make this expansion a successful one,” Turner says.

Banks previously served as an executive with EJM Development Co. in Los Angeles, where he was involved in acquisition, development, and financing of industrial properties for the company. He has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry in a broad range of capacities that have included, acquisitions, entitlements, development and asset management services.

Privately held Turner Development specializes in the acquisition and development of commercial and industrial real estate in Southern California. Since 1979, the firm has acquired and developed approximately 5.5 million square feet of commercial and industrial properties and more than 270 acres of land into master-planned mixed use business parks throughout the Southern California area.
