SHAVANO PARK, TX-Chesapeake Operating, Inc. has leased 19,652 square feet of class A office space at 4350 Lockhill-Selma Rd. The Oklahoma City-based energy firm signed a medium-term lease and will move into its new space in early 2011.
Currently, Chesapeake is subleasing space in Fountainhead Tower, and the firm wanted to commit to longer-term space, according to Jason Schnittger, a vice president with Stream Realty Partners. He and Jason Adkison of represented the landlord, Stream Realty Partners – Central Texas LP, while Dayton Schrader of RE/MAX represented Chesapeake.
Schnittger tells GlobeSt.com that Chesapeake will be the second largest tenant in the 116,545-square-foot building. The building’s largest tenant is XL Health Corp.
With the Chesapeake lease, the three-story building is 83% occupied. Completed in December 2008, the building features 39,000-square-foot floorplates and six parking spaces per 1,000 rentable square feet.
“Chesapeake is taking shell space, so they have ultimate flexibility with the build out,” Schnittger explains, adding that the firm will occupy space on the second floor.
