MESA, AZ-The Arizona Health & Technology Park has signed five new medical tenants for a total of 39,855 square feet.

The Arizona Health & Technology Park is a 50-acre business park located north and west of Recker and Baseline Roads. It is an alliance between The Alter Group and the Mesa Campus of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences and the School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Currently, the campus consists of six buildings including A.T. Still’s main university campus building. HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center has its own building in the park, as does YMCA Health and Wellness Center. The Alter Group owns three 42,000-square-foot office buildings that are available for lease.

Jerry McCormick, senior vice president with CB Richard Ellis, exclusively represents The Alter Group and the Arizona Health & Technology Park. He tells GlobeSt.com that despite the economic slowdown, tenants continue to be attracted to the park because they want to be close the medical and dental school.

The five new tenants include:

  • A.T. Still University of Health Sciences will expand its academic and administrative facility into 17,169 square feet. It will move into its new space in March 2011.
  • A.T. Still University has leased 8,596 square feet for an orthodontics clinic. The facility will be part of the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH). As Arizona’s first dental school, ASDOH offers a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree, as well as a Certificate in Orthodontics.
  • The Orthopedic Clinic Association PC (TOCA) of Phoenix has signed an eight-year lease for 6,799 square feet. Murray Gares of Ensemble DevMan of Arizona in Phoenix represented the tenant, which occupied the building last month.
  • Arrowhead Family Health of Mesa has signed a 10-year, 3,855-square-foot lease. This marks the practice’s second location. Plans call for the tenant to occupy the building in March 2011.
  • A physical therapy practice has signed a 79-month lease for 3,436 square feet. The new practice will open early next year.

With the new leases, the Arizona Health & Technology Park is 74% occupied.
