LOS ANGELES-If you want to really know what’s going on in the commercial real estate world in Southern California, you have to attend the annual Allen Matkins holiday party, where GlobeSt.com turned out to hobnob with everybody who’s anybody in the industry―or about 1,100 or so folks who showed up at the law firm’s party held at the California Club in Downtown L.A. The Allen Matkins affair brings together the deal-makers from every facet of the industry: brokers, developers, investors, mortgage brokers, lenders and the like.
