WOODLAND HILLS, CA-Younan Properties Inc. has hired industry veteran Gregory Zack for the newly created post of vice president of capital markets to help the investment and asset management company execute its growth strategy. Zack who brings more than 40 years of experience in commercial real estate to his new position, was a principal of ProMark Capital in Los Angeles before joining Younan.

Zaya Younan, chairman and CEO of Younan Properties, said in a statement regarding Zack’s appointment: “As the company successfully grows its national platform, the requirement grows concurrently for in-house expertise to handle the volume of transactions.” Younan further noted that Zack “has been a trusted consultant who has worked with us over the past decade.”

Younan added that the appointment of Zack comes at a time when his company is seeking seek new commercial office opportunities in new and existing markets. Zack commented that the new position provides an opportunity to leverage his background with his knowledge of Younan Properties.

Before ProMark Capital, Zack served as director of real estate for Loeb Rhodes Commercial Realty; was Manager of real estate joint ventures for International Paper Realty; and was vice president of finance with Arlen Realty and Development, all located in New York City.

Privately held Younan Properties specializes in acquiring class A office properties in high-growth markets throughout the US. It owns approximately 11 million square feet of class A office buildings valued at more than $1.5 billion in California, Texas, Illinois and Arizona.
