HOUSTON-After an in-depth review of the market, Cameron International has decided to renew its headquarters lease at Park Towers South. The firm, which provides equipment and services for the oil and gas industry, signed a 10-year lease for 75,467 square feet of office space at 1333 West Loop South in the Post Oak Park submarket.

With Cameron’s existing lease set to expire at the end of 2011, the firm began working with Charles Gordon and Michael Sieger of CB Richard Ellis in late 2009 to evaluate the market. “Cameron wanted to know if there better options,” Gordon tells GlobeSt.com. “We started with a list of about 10 properties and narrowed it down to three or four viable options.”

Cameron has been a tenant at Park Towers South for 10 years, occupying three floors in the 545,000-square-foot property. “They like their space and the building, as well as the surrounding amenities, and they didn’t see a compelling reason to move, but they had to go through the process to make sure they weren’t missing something,” Gordon explains. “Every corporate client is under pressure to keep costs down, and they wanted to make sure they weren’t overlooking something.”
