Reflections on a Hiring Outlook for 2011
This week between the Christmas holiday and New Years is a great time to unwind, reflect on the past year, and map strategies for the year ahead. Many companies have also decided to close for the week, an incredible no-cost benefit for their employees and a great way to engender loyalty among the workforce. On that note, with a recovery increasingly in gear, employers should be reflecting on retention of their employees as recruiting activity begins anew in the year ahead. Some hiring managers have not adjusted their view, thinking they are secure because it is still a buyers market. Not so. Our outlook is that 2011 will see hiring activity at all levels, albeit at a moderate pace. To be sure, the top performers on your bench will get numerous recruiting calls come the first of the year. On that happy note, best wishes for a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
