SAN ANTONIO-With plans to add grow its local workforce, General Dynamics C4 Systems has signed a medium-term lease for 32,553 square feet in the East Ramsey complex. The defense contractor is expanding its presence in the three-building project by 6,500 square feet.
General Dynamics, which has been a tenant in the complex since 1993, previously had a lease with a kick-out clause that allowed it to cancel its lease at any time, according to Mickey Meyer-Sturgis, who handled lease negotiations internally for the landlord, Richland Investments. General Dynamics’s internal counsel worked directly with Meyer-Sturgis.
Meyer-Sturgis tells GlobeSt.com that the new General Dynamics lease does not have a kick-out clause, which provides significant stability to the 65,313-square-foot complex located at 300 East Ramsey near the airport. The General Dynamics’ expansion pushes occupancy to 89%, she says.
General Dynamics has already moved into its class B expansion space, which is located in a building across the street from its primary operations, Meyer-Sturgis says.
