ATLANTA--CB Richard Ellis Investors is purchasing multiple assets at Atlantic Station from AIG. The buy includes: the 534,000-square-foot trophy office building 271 17th St.; a parking garage with nearly 7,000 spaces; and land comprising 14.25 acres.
Concurrently a joint venture of CBRE Investors and North American Properties purchased the Atlantic Town Center, the 586,000 square foot retail portion of Atlantic Station. The retail contains a Publix, a Regal 16 Cinemas and H&M. CBRE will take over as master developer of the property.
As GlobeSt.com previously reported, AIG put the property up for sale in April of 2010 as plans to pay off its debt to the federal government. Key draws to the facility are Target, IKEA and Dillard's, which all own their property within the center.
