SAN DIEGO-The San Diego office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP has arranged a $60 million construction/permanent loan for the development of the 215-room Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA. Due for completion mid-year 2012, the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa will feature approximately 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

“The successful financing for the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa reflects recovering hospitality fundamentals coupled with the capital markets recognition of irreplaceable real estate and strong, proven sponsorship,” says managing director Tim Wright, who, with associate director Zack Holderman, worked exclusively on behalf of the borrower, Wave Crest Oceanfront LLC, to secure the loan through UBS Realty Investors.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the eight-acre site is located in Carlsbad’s southern Ponto region adjacent to the Hanover Beach Colony housing development. It will also feature a spa & fitness center and oceanfront restaurant.

For the past 35 years, Wave Crest Resorts and its affiliates have developed, owned and managed high quality real estate in the San Diego North County Coastal areas. GlobeSt.com could not reach Wave Crest Resorts by deadline but will follow the news of the development as it progresses.
