HARRIMAN, NY-Takasago International Corp., a global fragrance manufacturer, has moved into a new 130,000-square-foot industrial space at 114 Commerce Dr. here. The company will retain its US headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ. Franklin Lakes, NJ-based McBride Corporate Real Estate brokered the $7.9-million, all-cash deal, with senior vice president John D’Amato and vice president and financial analyst David Yao leading the charge. McBride senior vice president Morris Goldberg represented the seller, Manhattan Beer Distributors.
According to Yao, the new facility will be fully operational by Q1 2012. Manhattan Beer vacated the property several years ago and moved--in a $15-million deal, also brokered by McBride--to 168,000 square feet at 20 Dunigon Dr. in Suffern, NY. “Big deals are still difficult to close, meaning those over 100,000 square feet, but smaller buildings are starting to trade hands,” Yao tells GlobeSt.com. He reveals that McBride currently has a handful of deals under contract.
