FORT WORTH-NAI Huff Partners and Transwestern have joined forces.
NAI Huff Partners, Fort Worth’s largest commercial real estate firm, will take on the Transwestern name when the merger is completed later this month. The deal gives Transwestern a Fort Worth presence that it lacked previously.
Transwestern’s new Fort Worth operations will be located at NAI Huff Partners’ existing downtown location, while NAI Huff Partners’ Fort Worth leadership will hold key positions within Transwestern’s Central Region, which is led by president Jack Eimer.
Currently, NAI Huff Partners has nine partners and 15 associates, according to Jack Huff, principal at NAI Huff Partners. “The merger gives Transwestern instant market share in Fort Worth,” he tells GlobeSt.com. “For us, we more tools and a national presence. Anytime you are competing with national names, there’s some segment of the marketplace in Corporate America that feels they want a national company. How much business we lost because of that, who knows, but really there’s no excuse now.”
NAI Huff Partners has a deep history with Transwestern, says Previously, NAI Huff Partners operated NAI/Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell, the Fort Worth division of Dallas-based NAI/Stoneleigh.
In late 2004, NAI/Stoneleigh merged with Transwestern’s central region, which covers North Texas and Oklahoma. “At that point, we [the Fort Worth partners] weren’t psychologically ready to merge with any group,” Huff notes. “Part of the reason we had the comfort level joining Transwestern now is that our former partners had nothing but good things to say about it.”
