DENVER-Stephan Baden, a Colorado resident since 1979 and John Fitzmaurice, principal of Chicago-based JCF Real Estate and a part-time Colorado resident for more than 10 years, have pooled expertise to provide Colorado’s mountain resort communities with receivership and REO services. As receiver and manager, the Baden and JCF team’s primary focus is to redevelop and financially reposition investment grade and distressed properties in the residential, retail, office and industrial markets.

Stephan Baden has been actively involved in the Colorado real estate market since 1988, according to a prepared release, and is considered one of the region’s leading real estate brokers with expertise in resort development and brokerage. Baden retains JCF Real Estate under a management services agreement for desired property management and other services on a property by property basis.

“I’ve known John for more than a decade and value his expertise in the receivership and REO business,” says Baden. “It’s a much needed service that I plan to bring to the mountain resort communities, and the team at JCF Real Estate is an integral key to the success of this venture. It’s the perfect marriage of regional market expertise and 20 years of experience in creating value in under-performing assets.”

Fitzmaurice adds that “Right now we’re only in the beginning stages of seeing a dramatic increase in receivership assignments in both residential and commercial real estate—over the next several years, this industry will explode. As someone with extensive relationships and resources in the Colorado real estate market, Stephan is in a unique position to assist those in need of receivership and REO services.”
