LINDEN, NJ-Metro T&C has taken an 83,000-square-foot, full-building lease at 720 W. Edgar Rd. (Route 1) here, doubling the size of its operation. The trucking, warehousing and freight-forwarding company is relocating to the industrial project from Kearny, NJ, says Cushman & Wakefield, which represented both Metro T&C and property owner Cantor Cos.

“Metro T&C came to its new headquarters from a 34,000-square-foot space,” says Dan Badenhausen of Cushman & Wakefield. “The building in Linden offers plenty of room for additional business expansion. In addition to excellent loading with 18 doors, it also has 15,000 square feet of office space already built out, which enabled a fast move in.”

Metro T&C provides pickup and delivery service throughout the New York and New Jersey region. Badenhausen adds that port proximity and highway access were critical to Metro T&C’s requirements.
