SAN DIEGO-Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial has appointed Daniel Broderick as president and CEO. Broderick will serve on the company’s board and will be instrumental in driving the firm’s strategic initiatives and growth strategies, including building a presence in Orange County and the Inland Empire, as well as developing the company’s regional Corporate Services platform.

Broderick joins Cassidy Turley from Eastdil Secured, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank, where he was senior vice president in the Equity Sales Division. In the past six years, Broderick’s team has closed transactions valued at more than $8 billion.

“Dan Broderick’s dynamic leadership and broad experience in our core services—investment and capital markets, sales and leasing, and corporate services—will be an asset to our clients and to Cassidy Turley’s overall capabilities in Southern California,” says Rick Reeder, head of the CEO selection committee and member of the board. “Dan’s track record of strengthening systems and teams and expanding capabilities will help us take Cassidy Turley to the next level. The selection committee was highly impressed with Dan’s intellect, integrity and professionalism.”

Jonathan Freeman, Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer says that “Dan’s experience in a multitude of product types—including office, industrial, life sciences and multi-family—and markets, including San Diego, Orange County, Arizona, and Texas, combined with his vast array of expertise with local, institutional and investment banking clients will enable him to develop new business and expand service offerings from day one.”

Earlier, Broderick was associated with Burnham Real Estate Services—now Cushman & Wakefield—in the area of office leasing and sales, where he received the Civic Leadership Award and was selected to be a member of their Strategic Steering Committee. During his four-year tenure at Burnham, the total consideration of his sales and lease transactions exceeded $800 million.

Broderick started his career in the San Francisco Bay area, working in tenant representation, investment banking and high technology. “I am thrilled to be joining Cassidy Turley at this exciting point in its national growth campaign and at this inflection point in its presence in Southern California. I look forward to leveraging my successes and business network to guide the firm’s core growth strategies and help achieve its vision to be the preeminent commercial real estate firm in the Pacific Southwest. I am humbled and proud to lead such dedicated, conscientious and accomplished professionals,” says Broderick.
