HOUSTON-EDGE Realty Partners has opened an office here and tapped two of the city’s top retail brokers to lead its local efforts.

Culver Stedman and Josh Jacobs join the firm from Page Partners and will serve as principals with EDGE Realty. In addition, Debbie Adams and Sara Schoonaert have made the move to EDGE Realty.

Currently, EDGE Realty operates Dallas and Austin/San Antonio offices. The local EDGE office will offer a comprehensive platform of services including: tenant representation; project leasing; investment sales; development services; and acquisitions.

“We had no grand designs to grow beyond Dallas when we opened in April 2009,” admits EDGE Realty co-founder Adam Schiller. “But we committed to an office in Houston once we opened our Austin office in August 2009. It makes sense to expand our service platform since more and more of our business is statewide.”

Schiller tells GlobeSt.com that the firm had a casual approach to the Houston expansion and did not aggressively court any industry experts. “When Culver and Josh expressed interest in what we had planned for Houston, things came together,” he explains, adding that the “time was right” to expand into the Bayou City. “We believe the market is beginning to recover, and we’re very bullish on Houston. We feel there is going to be a lot of activity in Texas and specifically in Houston.”

Prior to joining EDGE Realty, Stedman was consistently a top producer at Page Partners where he specialized in tenant representation, project leasing and property acquisitions having leased more than 5 million square feet of retail space. Stedman boasts 27 years of retail experience.

Jacobs has more than 15 years of commercial brokerage experience, and most recently, he was a top producer at Page Partners for five years. He specializes in project leasing, tenant representation, and land and investment sales.

Adams joins EDGE Realty Partners as senior vice president from Gulf Coast Commercial Group, while Schoonaert will serve as an associate.
