MIAMI-Carlos Coloma has joined J.I. Kislak Mortgage as the Miami-Dade area manager. Coloma comes to Kislak from MetLife Home Loans, where he was branch manager.

In his new role at Kislak, Coloma is responsible for overseeing all retail production in South Florida, including opening a Kislak Mortgage office in Coral Gables. Coloma will also lead Kislak’s expansion efforts in the Miami-Dade area, recruiting top mortgage loan consultants and opening new Kislak Mortgage locations.

“Carlos has been one of the top producers in the Miami market for well over 20 years,” Eddie Scott, senior vice president and southeast divisional manager of Kislak Mortgage, tells GlobeSt.com. “To pick up someone of his caliber is very unique. We needed someone with his level of experience because it’s a challenging real estate market at this time. Carlos has vast knowledge and relationships in the Miami market.
