MIAMI-Jones Lang LaSalle has been inking some impressive leasing and management wins in recent months. Now, the firm is staffing up to handle the new properties.
JLL has appointed Peter Sheridan as senior vice president and Nicole Vassilaros as vice president. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Sheridan will specialize in office leasing and help grow the business line in Broward County and Southern Palm Beach County. Vassilaros will be based in downtown Miami.
“We’ve picked up some terrific, significant assignments and need this talent to help us get the projects leased and or sold as quickly as possible at the best possible return,” Steve Medwin, managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle, tells GlobeSt.com. Medwin joined JLL about 14 months ago.
Earlier this week, JLL announced it won the property management mandate for City Place Tower in downtown West Palm Beach. Other recent South Florida wins include leasing and management at the 1.225 million square foot Southeast Financial Center and property management for the 47-story Miami Tower in downtown Miami.
“Peter has been in the market for 30 years and has a stellar track record,” Medwin says. “He helped Premier Commercial Realty build up their portfolio in South Florida to nearly five million square feet. He brings a lot of relationships and deal experience to the table.”
Sheridan was most recently president of Premier Commercial Realty and ran its marketing strategies and leasing for the firm’s 4.9 million-square-foot office and industrial portfolio. Vassilaros started her commercial real estate leasing career at JLL and has worked at Morgan Stanley’s Crescent Real Estate Equities. She was most recently a leasing agent for Cushman & Wakefield. She will assist Don Cartwright in the leasing of the Southeast Financial Center. Cartwright also recently defected from CushWake. CushWake was not immediately available for comment.
“We think Southeast Financial Tower is a great fit for Nicole,” Medwin says. “It’s a challenging market on the office side. So having a strong team with complimentary skill sets is really important.”
