JERSEY CITY- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has renewed its contract with GSH Group by extending and expanding engineering and mechanical services to the Port’s MacMillan Bloedel Building here.

Awarded through the GSA Federal Supply Schedule, the contract covers the building, train control center and storage building. As part of the extension, GSH will provide an additional team of engineers to complement its existing on-site staff. “They’ve expanded the facility and will be adding staff,” explains Reed Ell, GSH’s director of operations, to GlobeSt.com.

The Pine Brook, NJ-based firm has worked with the Port Authority for more than two years, holding three operations and maintenance contracts, including 2 Montgomery St. in Jersey City and Port Jersey Marine Terminal in Bayonne, NJ. The company went through the normal federal bidding process for the current contract. “They always look for the best value,” Ell says.

GSH Group is the US office of the British-based global facilities services and energy management provider.
