SAN FRANCISCO-UGL Services, a division of UGL Ltd. has added three new brokerage professionals in the San Francisco office. David Klein and Jill Arias, both 26-year industry veterans, joined UGL Services as senior vice presidents. Jennifer Essner, a seven-year veteran, working in leasing and investment sales, joined UGL Services as a vice president.

The three new hires bring a diverse mix of office, industrial and retail transaction experience to UGL Services’ San Francisco regional office, according to UGL. Eric Danielson, senior vice president and managing director of UGL Services’ San Francisco Bay Area Region recruited Klein, Arias and Essner for their experience in office, industrial and retail transactions. “David, Jill and Jennifer are cornerstones to the ongoing growth of our presence in the Bay area,” Danielson says.

According to Danielson, “the recruitment of Klein, Arias and Essner is a significant step in our plan to expand the UGL Services presence in the Bay Area region to at least 25 brokers, working out of offices in San Francisco, the East Bay and Silicon Valley.” He adds that “These individuals are a reflection of the quality and character of transaction brokers that we’re attracting as we continue to build the region.”

Klein, a LEED AP and attorney, is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Klein’s background provides UGL Services with a depth of transaction experience, according to a prepared statement. According to Klein, he was drawn to UGL Services in part from its position as the, “only publicly traded, global real estate company, exclusively serving the real estate needs of business.” Prior to his position at UGL Services, he was a senior vice president and partner at Cassidy Turley.

Arias brings a focus on transaction advisory services for national portfolio accounts as well as local Bay Area businesses. Arias is a member of the Northern California Chapter of CoreNet. In her 26-year CRE career, she has completed lease transactions in excess of 4.5 million square feet, as well as $400 million in property sale transactions. Prior to joining UGL Services, Arias was a development manager for Panattoni Development Co.

Essner provides a strategic approach, with respect to lease and purchase transactions, as well as asset disposition, according to UGL. According to Klein, “she is well versed in the process of getting deals done.”
