DALLAS-In an effort to educate its brokers about sustainability and to better serve clients seeking to implement green strategies, TCN Worldwide has established a strategic alliance with GreenPoint Partners, a Chicago-based firm that provides sustainability services.
Through its alliance with GreenPoint, TCN Worldwide will begin offering sustainability services including energy audits, solar installations, efficiency retrofits and LEED certification. Moreover, GreenPoint will take a proactive approach to working with the 1,200-plus TCN Worldwide professionals across four continents by sharing its training, resources and sustainability consultants, according to H. Ross Ford, president and CEO of TCN Worldwide.
“There’s no question that sustainability is important to the marketplace,” Ford says. “Our professionals were coming to us and saying ‘We really want to be able to offer more sustainable information and solutions to our clients and prospects,’ and that peaked our interest and led to conversations with various groups before we chose GreenPoint.”
Ford tells GlobeSt.com that TCN Worldwide’s expertise in sustainability was “uneven” prior to creating the alliance with GreenPoint. “We have some brokers who are very familiar with it, and others that haven’t had a reason to be involved with it,” he acknowledges.
With the alliance, Ford expects TCN Worldwide professionals will be able to better serve existing clients, whether those clients are tenants or owners. “This will make our brokers and property managers a more valuable resource to clients, and in turn, create a stronger relationship between them,” he explains.
Ford says TCN Worldwide professionals have responded favorably to the new alliance. “I was surprised at the level of interest from our brokers and principals,” he admits. “They’re excited about and clearly demonstrating a strong interest in sustainability and what new solutions theyh can provide to their clients.”
