SACRAMENTO-John Banchero, a veteran real estate executive with more than three decades of commercial real estate industry experience, has joined Colliers International’s Sacramento office as senior vice president. “Movement is afoot in the brokerage community in Sacramento,” says managing director Randy Dixon.

“In our recruitment efforts, we have had a number of engaged conversations with top commercial real estate talent in the region,” says Dixon. While he is not yet ready to speak publicly beyond announcing Banchero, Dixon says that they “are close on a number of fronts,” and expects to have similarly exciting announcements in the weeks and months ahead.”

Banchero’s experience includes the development of land, retail, office, and industrial. He will contribute to brokerage and investment assignments for the Sacramento and Roseville regions and will be based in Colliers Sacramento location.

In 20 years with Panattoni Development, Banchero was managing partner of many projects including Antelope West, Raley Business Park, Norwood Tech, and 4 million square feet in the Carolinas. He also launched the national marketing division for Panattoni to negotiate multi-city transactions with local partners and expand into new markets.

Banchero began his career managing a public market in 1973. From there, he brokered and developed with Mac Laughlin & Co. in 1975. In 1981, he started his own brokerage company with J&L Properties, specializing in commercial and industrial projects.
