MANHATTAN BEACH, CA-Movie director James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment has signed a long-term lease for more than115,000 square feet at MBS Media Campus, a property of the Carlyle Group that is managed by Raleigh Studios. The deal puts Cameron, whose Lightstorm was represented by Steve Wiseman of CB Richard Ellis, at the MBS Media Campus for his two sequels to Avatar.

Cameron, director of Avatar, Titanic and other movies, joins Marvel Studios and other major television productions at the studio, which was designed to bring all of the service and resources needed for film and television production to a single location. Among the facilities at the campus are nine 18,000-square-foot sound stages, five 25,000-square-foot sound stages, a new 10,000-square-foot sound stage; an outdoor New York Street scene; technology for all post-production services, a new screening room and a host of other services.

Built in 1998, the 22-acre MBS complex recently underwent a number of multimillion-dollar upgrades, plus redesigned offices spaces which provide productions with direct access to the sound stages. The facility also recruited Urban Beach Caf
