TAMPA, FL-Franklin Street is on another hiring streak. The firm recruited two new employees to its Management Services division to keep up with the demand in its Florida commercial and multifamily portfolio.
Franklin Street hired Pat McGucken to oversee and manage the daily operation and maintenance of the company’s retail management portfolio. McGucken comes to Franklin Street from the Florida Department of Enviornmental Protection. The firm appointed Todd Simon to assist the multifamily management team and ensure policy and procedure standards across all assets. Simon joins from Bank of Tampa.
“In the past year, our retail management portfolio in Florida has grown 70%,” says Bruce Keene, president of Residential Services at Franklin Street. As Keene sees it, the growth could be part of a larger national trend of retailers moving from global management firms to local regional talent to get more personalized service.
“We fully believe that our size is our advantage,” says Keene. “We are big enough to pass through volume discounts on goods and services but small enough to give the personalized attention that their asset deserves.”
Franklin Street also promoted Will Sadlowski from controller to CFO. Sadlowski previously worked at Grant Thornton LLP, where he served both large and medium-sized public and private companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction and real estate, technology, financial services and general services.
“As we continue to grow, we required strong leadership, particularly in this turbulent economic environment,” says Andrew Wright, CEO and managing partner for Franklin Street. “Will has consistently demonstrated great skill and insight since joining Franklin Street and has been instrumental in our expansion.”
