ISELIN, NJ-Maidenform has extended its US headquarters lease and expanded by 15,000 square feet for a total of 81,276 square feet at Woodbridge Corporate Plaza here. The lingerie maker now occupies 70% of the four-story, 116,030-square-foot property at 485 Route 1 South, Building F, says David Simson, vice chairman of Newmark Knight Frank’s New Jersey operations, who represented landlord KBS Realty Advisors. Maidenform was represented by Ray Sohmer of Jones Lang LaSalle.

“KBS Realty Advisors is one of the nation’s largest buyers of commercial real estate, and this extension and expansion is a key transaction for one of the firm’s premier East Coast properties,” says Simson in a statement. “As it continues to grow, Maidenform saw the need to substantially expand its headquarters location here.”

Maidenform originally had 66,276 square feet on the building’s top two floors. It now has added 15,000 square feet on the second floor. Building F is one of six office buildings that make up the 623,316-square-foot complex. Rents for other buildings in the complex range from $21.75 per square foot to $24 per square foot, according to LoopNet. Newmark Knight Frank is the exclusive representative for the entire six-building complex.

“In addition to the Maidenform deal, we have signed leases in excess of 45,000 square feet this year and currently have commitments for an additional 40,000 square feet, which we will be able to announce shortly,” Simson adds.
