SANTA MONICA, CA-New York City-based retail specialist Robert K. Futterman & Associates has promoted Robert Cohen to president of its Southern California division and Rachel Rosenberg to executive vice president overseeing all Southern California opertions as the company continues its expansion in Southern California. The promotions of Cohen and Rosenberg come at the same time as Futterman has doubled its Los Angeles office space at 233 Wilshire Blvd. to accommodate its now 10-person team.
Cohen, who previously served as executive vice president and managed operations for the office, led the expansion into Southern California in 2007 of RKF, which specializes in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services. Today, in addition to the tenant work that the firm was known for when it first opened, RKF has also developed its landlord representation business. The office currently has 15 agencies throughout the region in markets including Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Malibu, Burbank, Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, and Tarzana, among others.
Rosenberg
Cohen has more than 25 years of retail real estate experience in urban markets throughout the US. He has recently secured space for Dylan’s Candy Bar in the historic Farmers Market in Los Angeles; Swarovski in the Grove and in Union Square, San Francisco; Rosa Mexicana on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood; Topshop in Chicago; MAC Cosmetics in The Grove and on West Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena; and Adidas Y-3 in Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
He has also secured numerous locations for H&M, several locations for Polo Ralph Lauren and its brands, and sites for retailers including John Varvatos, Restoration Hardware and Drybar. Currently, he is executing national expansions for Swarovski, Michael Stars, Topshop, Yves Saint Laurent and Oliver Peoples, as well as a Southern California expansion for Gap Inc.
Cohen also has represented landlord clients including Transwestern Investment Group, Grosvenor, Broadreach Capital, CIM Group, the Whitney Museum, the Kalimian Brothers, The Related Companies, A.R.I. Investors, and The Sherry-Netherland Inc.
Rosenberg, who joined RKF in late 2009 as a senior vice president, is now responsible for overseeing all of RKF’s Los Angeles operations in her new role. She is regarded as a restaurant expert throughout the industry and is currently the exclusive broker for Chipotle Mexican Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, Le Pain Quotidien, The Veggie Grill, Fig & Olive, Jersey Mike’s, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Momed Market Caf
