RUTHERFORD, NJ-Rockaway Property LLC, an affiliate of Lexington Realty Trust, has named Newmark Knight Frank its exclusive leasing agent for Rockaway Executive Center, its modern three-story, class A office building at 333 Mt. Hope Avenue here.

Currently regional offices for BASF, the entire 95,500-square-foot building will be available in June 2012 when the chemical company relocates to its new North American headquarters in Florham Park. “The leasing strategy will take advantage of BASF’s remaining term to attract a new tenant utilizing either a discounted sublease rent from BASF or termination dollars to subsidize the new tenant’s concessions,” says Jamie Drummond, NKF principal, in a statement. Drummond, David Simson, and principal Timothy Greiner, comprised the leasing team.

“The building sits at the entrance to the redeveloped Rockaway Townsquare Mall, offering premier accessibility and abundant amenities that are within walking distance,” adds Greiner. “The advantageous location, the quality of the building and the financially secure sponsorship of the landlord are some of the many qualities that make this building ideally suited for tenants.” The asking rent for available space earlier this year was $20 per square foot, according to LoopNet.
