NEW YORK CITY-The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is swapping spaces on Park Avenue, moving from Three Park to Two Park, where the organization will occupy over 99,000 square feet on the 6th and 7th floors, a spokesman tells GlobeSt.com.

The move is expected to take place by the fall of 2012 and was brought about by growth at the non-profit, according to a statement by ASME executive director Thomas Loughlin.

“Today’s ASME is more dynamic and robust than ever, fueled by members, volunteers and staff, who serve our diverse global communities by advancing, disseminating and applying engineering knowledge for improving the quality of life,” Loughlin said in a prepared statement. “The office relocation is a reflection of ASME’s continuing growth, in terms of the programs and services it offers to our members, the broader engineering community, and the public.”
