FAIR LAWN, NJ-Hunter Group CPA, LLC has renewed its 12,225-square-foot lease at 17-17 Route 208 in Fair Lawn, NJ for 10.5 years. The company has been a tenant at the 143,000-square-foot building for 10 years.

As part of the agreement, Hunter's office space and the lobby will be completely renovated, and the accounting firm will have signage on the new monument in front of the building on Route 208. The considerations are typical in this negotiating climate, says NAI James E. Hanson associate VP Darren M. Lizzack represented Hunter.

"We have seen many landlords working hard to maintain long-term business relationships despite the weakened economy," Lizzack says. "There has to be give and take on both sides in this economic climate or tenants may be forced to relocate to lower quality, lower cost buildings to 'weather the storm' during these difficult times, which is clearly not their preference."

Asking rents for office space in Fair Lawn range from $15 per square foot to $60 per square foot, according to LoopNet. Owned by Mack-Cali, the three-story, class-A property is within walking distance to downtown Fair Lawn, and is near Routes 4 and 17, Interstates 287, 87 and 80, the Garden State Parkway, the New York State Thruway, and the George Washington Bridge.
