MIAMI-CB Richard Ellis has promoted Tim Gifford as SVP with the Capital Markets group here, to focus on investment, acquisitions, dispositions and financing of properties in the Latin American markets. He formerly was a liaison for the group’s services for institutional acquisitions.

Gifford will also serve as a liaison for capital markets activities in Latin America, collaborating with the company’s representatives in London, Sydney, Toronto, Hong Kong and Singapore. His history of client engagements includes Union Investments, PREI, UBS, Ivanhoe Cambridge, DEKA and other European capital groups.

He tells GlobeSt.com that Latin America-based investors are looking for diversity to place cash, both in South America and in the Miami area. “Some of these economies in South America are starting to mature, especially Brazil, and we’re seeing more of an interest in the commercial investment sector, including office, retail and multifamily. We’re going to work to bring these products to investors,” Gifford says.
