NEW YORK CITY-1285 Ave. of the Americas, jointly owned by AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. and institutional investors, has been refinanced for $372 million. Among others, the building is home to the law firm Paul Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and UBS, which as GlobeSt.com previously reported is considering moving its Stamford, CT investment bank arm to the redeveloped World Trade Center site.

The refinancing was via a 10-year fixed rate loan with MetLife Real Estate Investments. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler senior directors Whitney Wilcox and Mike Tepedino represented the borrower.

HFF declined to comment to GlobeSt.com about the deal outside of a news release it provided.

Previously the headquarters of the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, 1285 Sixth Ave. is currently 99.9% leased. It is the largest office building in New York State to achieve LEED Silver certification.
