PHOENIX-Chrysler Group LLC has signed asix-year lease for 16,212 square feet at Paradise Village OfficePark. The Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker will use the class Aoffice space for a new administrative office to serve its localdealerships.

“Chrysler was in a hurry to get the office open, and they wereonly looking at class A and B+ space, so they were somewhat limitedin their choices,” says Cooper Sutherland ofLincoln Property Company. He represented thebuilding owners, Sterling American Property andLincoln Property Company, along with Jerry Noble,Pat Devine and Greg Mayer ofCBRE’s local office. Dev Gupta ofUGL Equis Corp.’s local office representedChrysler.

Sutherland tells GlobeSt.com that Sterling and Lincoln’s abilityto close the deal quickly (using Chrysler’s lease form), along withbeing able to provide temporary space, were the keys to winningChrysler as a tenant. “There are a lot of owners that aren’twilling to move quickly or be flexible,” he notes. “But this wasn’tthe first time we had to expedite things and to push our lawyersand lender to move quickly. Quality tenants like Chrysler don’tcome along all that often.”
