Law Firm Akin Gump Takes 25,000 SF Downtown

LOS ANGELES-The law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has signed a lease for 25,000 square feet in MPG Office Trust’s 72-story, 1.4-million-square-foot US Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles. The law firm plans to move into the office tower during the third quarter of this year, according to an announcement by MPG.

John A. Karaczynski, the law firm’s Los Angeles managing partner in charge, said in the announcement that the company will be expanding its presence in Los Angeles with the opening of the Downtown L.A. office. Akin Gump has offices at Century Plaza Towers in Century City. Its new office Downtown “offers a strategic location for our project finance practice,” Karaczynski said in the statement, adding, “We look forward to continuing our growth in the LA market, both in Downtown and Century City.”
