(Mark Your Calendars: RealShare Orange County, August 18 in Newport Beach).

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-With the job market showing signs of life, general economic improvement and a recovering office market, the question for Orange County's commercial real estate markets is, "What's next?" Top executives in the industry will explore that and other facets of the county's real estate industry at RealShare Orange County, a conference and networking event from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, CA. Some 400 industry leaders in all facets of commercial real estate, along with professionals in allied fields, have registered for the event.

The conference will begin with opening remarks from Daniel Ceniceros, vice president for strategic development with ALM's Real Estate Media Group, which produces the RealShare Conference Series. Ceniceros tells GlobeSt.com that the conference will offer an opportunity for attendees to find out what's happening in Orange County and where it's headed, both during the panel discussions and afterward at the networking and cocktail reception.

"Orange County is definitely a market in transition, so the panels we have this year are designed to look at where the county has been, where it is now and what the experts see for the future," Ceniceros says. "Obviously, as always, networking is a big part of the event because it gives people a chance to catch up with old connections, make new ones and continue some of the discussions that are started on the panels," he adds.

First up following the introduction by Ceniceros will be a panel titled "Looking into the OC Crystal Ball--Where do we go from here?" Moderator Kurt Strasmann, senior managing director at CB Richard Ellis, will be joined by Robert Brunswick, chairman and CEO of Buchanan Street Partners; Guy Johnson, president of Johnson Capital; Bob Osbrink, managing director at Voit Real Estate Services; and Joseph Vargas, executive vice president at Cushman & Wakefield.

Following a networking break, this year's event will feature a keynote panel with principal Chris Thornberg of Beacon Economics and Kerry Vandell, director of the Center for Real Estate, offering their views on a host of economic forces shaping the markets in Orange County, including real estate fundamentals, jobs, likely areas of expansion and macro-forces at work in the US economy. The panel will be moderated by Martin Pupil, regional managing director at Colliers International.

Following the economic outlook panel, CoreNet Global Southern California will present the final panel of the day: "Where Is Corporate America Expanding?" The panel will focus on, among other topics, questions like: when can jobs be expected to follow the recovery that has driven port traffic, produced an improved Orange County office market and shown other signs of recovery? Partner Bob Hamilton of the law firm Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble, Mallory & Natsis will moderate. Panelists will include executive director Andy Cohen of Gensler, vice president Reid McCartney of The Capital Group Cos., managing partner Jeff Manley of Cresa Partners, principal Brad Neglia of LBA Realty, senior director of corporate services Dick Salvi of Western Digital Corp. and Sanford Smith, senior vice president of real estate, facilities, construction and operations at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.

Following the final panel, a networking and cocktail reception will begin at 5:30 p.m.
