SPRINGFIELD, NJ-Global Shipping Services has signed a 10-year, 7,200-square-foot lease at 21 Fadem Road at the Springfield Commerce Center here, says NAI James E. Hanson, which represented the tenant in negotiations with landlord 21 Fadem Road Realty, LLC c/o Tulfra.
The deal is an addition to a 10-year, 15,189-square-foot lease signed earlier this year for the same location. Global Shipping provides customized transportation services including ocean-freight, air-freight, domestic trucking and import/export.
"Global Shipping appreciates the advantages of being located in the Mountainside/Springfield submarket," says Barry J. Cohorsky, a VP at NAI Hanson, in a statement. "This property meets all of its requirements with great parking and a convenient location. We are seeing a noticeable uptick in industrial activity and warehouse inventories are rising."
The rent was not disclosed, but the asking rate for the building begins at $5 per square foot triple-net per year, according to LoopNet. Blau & Berg represents the building.
Located in the Springfield Industrial Park, the 122,597-square-foot property sits on 5.45-acres near the New Jersey Turnpike, Routes 22, 21, Interstate 78 and the Garden State Parkway.
