CARSON, CA-Herbalife International has signed a 10-year lease with building owner Watson Land Co. for a 148,908-square-foot industrial property at 18431 Wilmington Ave. where the nutrition company will relocate from an 82,000-square-foot Watson building. The new building will serve as Herbalife’s Los Angeles distribution headquarters.
Herbalife made the move to position itself for long term growth with a larger and more flexible property to augment its growing inventory of products, according to an announcement regarding the lease. Herbalife is improving the interiors to include approximately 20,000 square feet of office space to house corporate offices. The lease expands the global nutrition company’s warehousing and distribution capacity in response to growing demand for its health and nutrition products.
Herbalife is relocating from a property at Watson Industrial Center in Carson, where the firm has operated its Los Angeles distribution center since 1996. The nutrition company’s new building is part of Watson’s Legacy Building Series, a portfolio of class A facilities offering sustainable features that maximize efficiency and flexibility. The property is in the master-planned Dominguez Technology Center.
Mike McRoskey, Frank Scott, Tim O’Rourke and Barry Hill of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Herbalife in the transaction. Watson Land Co. was represented in-house by Lance Ryan and Mike Bodlovich.
