BALTIMORE-Baltimore's spending board has decided to sell the old Highlandtown Middle School at 101 S. Ellwood Ave. in Southeast Baltimore. Focus Development LLC will purchase the building for approximately $530,000 with plans to convert the property into an apartment building.
The company will spend extra $30 million to redevelop the 258,000-square-foot building to house 131 apartments. The Ellwood Ave. building is valued at $5.7 million. For the full story, go to Baltimore Business Journal .
