POMONA, CA-Hager Pacific Properties of Newport Beach has aquired a 184,455-square-foot industrial property on 15.13 acres that formerly was a commercial bakery. Rob Neal, a managing partner with Hager Pacific Properties, says that the company plans to improve the property, which is vacant, and to offer it for sale or lease to a food user or general warehouse user.

The property, at 2801 South Towne Ave. at the northwest corner of Towne Avenue and Riverside Drive, was acquired from Interstate Brands Corp. for an undisclosed price. Constructed in 1982, it features dual rail access, all concrete loading and staging areas, a specialized brick floor for food processing and 17 dock and van-high loading positions.

The property is situated near the city of Chino and the San Bernardino County border, with visibility on the 71 Freeway near the 60 Freeway interchange. It is 10 miles from Ontario International Airport and adjacent to a retail power center anchored by Home Depot.

“This particular location in Pomona enjoys superb access to both the San Gabriel and Inland Empire industrial markets,” said Neal. “The combination of market location and special characteristics makes this building highly desirable.”

Dirk Aulabaugh of Alvarez and Marsal represented both buyer and seller in the transaction.
