KENILWORTH, NJ-Union County Golf Properties and KemperSports have begun construction on a 43,705-square foot clubhouse and 4,150-square foot performance lab and retail space at the Galloping Hill Golf Course here.
The buildings will complete the Learning Center at Galloping Hill, according to Claremont Construction Group, the Far Hills, NJ-based general contractor working on the assignment.
“This project will greatly enhance the offerings at Galloping Hill for all levels of golfers and is a strong reflection of our expertise in a wide range of construction projects,” Stephen Sciaretta, vice president of Claremont Construction Group, said in a prepared statement. “Claremont looks forward to completing this innovative and original assignment.”
Both projects will be completed within 14 months. Designed by Williard G. Wilkinson and opened in 1928, the 271-acre Galloping Hill Golf Course is an 18-hole facility with a state-of-the-art learning center and nine-hole practice course, called the Learning Center at Galloping Hill, which opened in October 2009. The course was renovated in 1998, according to the Galloping Hill website. In January 2010, KemperSports began managing Galloping Hill and the Learning Center.
